How drop rates work in Aion 2

Why the listed rates are off, and how many kills a drop really takes.

Why there are no drop rates here

The game files list a chance next to every drop, and sites copy them. Players who farm keep finding those numbers off: an item listed as dropping 1 time in 23 takes far longer in practice. Kinah Ledger shows where things drop from the game files, and leaves the rate out until players have measured it.

How real rates fill in

The tracker counts every kill and every item you pick up. Shared sessions are pooled per server, and once there are enough of them the item page shows the measured rate with its margin of error next to the listing.

What a rate means in kills Example

Luck is lumpy. Even at a fixed rate, some players get an item in a few kills and others go far past the average. These example rates by grade show how wide the spread is.

Epic1 in 3,0002,0806,90713,814

Example rates only, not measured ones. The kill counts follow from the rate: the chance of at least one drop after n kills is 1 − (1 − p)ⁿ.
